Refunds

Most items can be refunded if returned within 30 days from when you bought them. Refunds vary depending on how and when the item was bought and the condition of the item.

Getting a refund

After returning your item, it may take up to 14 days for us to receive and process it. Sometimes it may take longer. You can check the status of your refund in Your Orders under the order summary.

When the refund has been processed, you'll get an email. Your refund will be issued via the method you chose in the online returns centre, and usually takes 7 business days to reach you.

If your refund doesn't appear in your account, and the processing time for your payment method has passed, contact us.

Instant refunds

Sometimes you'll be offered an instant refund option. If so, you'll be notified in the returns centre.

The instant refund options are:

  • Refund to your credit card
  • Amazon.co.uk Gift Card balance

You still need to return your items within 30 days.

Returnless refunds

Sometimes you don't have to send your item back to get a refund. If so, you'll be notified in the returns centre when you create the return label, or by a Customer Services Assistant.

Gift returns

The type of refund or credit you receive from a gift return depends on how the gift was purchased and how it was returned.

Refunds for return postage costs

For items sold or fulfilled by Amazon, we'll refund your return postage costs if you received items that are:

  • Incorrect
  • Damaged
  • Defective
  • Not matching the product description
  • Shoes, clothing, jewellery, watches, or items that are eligible for free return

The maximum you will be refunded is for a standard delivery option.

In accordance with your statutory rights, if you received an item sold and/or Fulfilled by Amazon that is either incorrect, damaged, defective, or doesn't match its description, we'll either offer you the option to return the product via a prepaid carrier option, or, if that's not possible and the cost of returning the item exceeds our standard delivery option, please Contact Us. to receive a refund for any reasonable additional postage costs you incurred.

We may require proof of postage in order to refund such additional postage costs. Please keep a valid and clear receipt and send it to us, after 14 days from the return of the item.
