How to Book Rides with Alexa+

Alexa's ride booking feature lets you book rides with third-party services. You can book rides to your favorite places using supported Alexa-supported devices.

Note: Not all features and services will be available at once. New features will roll out across compatible devices during the Early Access period. For more information on available features and supported devices go to: Alexa+

To book a ride:
  1. Ask Alexa to book a ride. You can say things like, "I want to book a ride to the mall."
  2. If you haven't granted permissions and linked your rideshare account with your Alexa account, Alexa guides you through the account linking process. For more information, go to Connect Your Third-Party Services to Alexa+.
  3. Confirm or edit the service. Alexa provides options based on where you want to go and asks clarifying questions to select the best ride option for you before booking it.
Note: The rideshare service charges the default payment card on your rideshare account. If you don't have an existing card, you can go to the rideshare app to add one.
  4. Alexa confirms your ride request to completing the booking with the third-party provider.

Once you confirm your ride, Alexa announces the status of the arrival through notifications. You receive notifications on the Alexa app and on your rideshare app.

Note: You can request to cancel a ride with Alexa. If there are any fees associated, Alexa notifies you and only cancels if you agree. If you have a question about a ride that has been completed, you have to contact the third party directly. For more information on when to contact the third-party service go to, How Third-Party Services Work with Alexa+.
