Meet Your Echo Show 8

The Echo Show 8 (3rd Generation) has the following buttons, indicators, and ports located on the front and back of the device:

On the front of the device:

  • Light bar
  • 13 Megapixel front-facing camera

On the back of the device:

  • Power port
  • Camera shutter with an on or off slider
  • Volume up and volume down buttons

To set up your device:

  1. Plug in your Echo Show with the included power adapter.
  2. Select a device language.
  3. Connect to your Wi-Fi network.
  4. Log in to your Amazon account.
  5. Continue following the on-screen steps to set up and customer your device.

When you see the Alexa home screen and clock, your device is ready to use.

Privacy and Support

When Alexa is listening and processing your request in Amazon's secure cloud, a blue light appears on the device screen. To turn your device's microphone on or off, press the Microphone and Camera button. You can also cover the camera with the built-in shutter.

Troubleshoot Setup Issues
