Connect Matter Smart Home Devices to Alexa
To connect your Matter device with Alexa, use the Alexa app.
Tip: Install your Matter device within 30 ft (9 m) of a compatible Alexa hub or device.
If you’re connecting Thread-based Matter devices, confirm that you have a Thread-enabled device online by reviewing compatible devices on the Alexa Smart Home Connectivity (https://www.amazon.co.uk/connect_to_alexa).

. - Select the plus
. - Select Add Device.
- Select the matter
icon from the Shortcuts bar. - Select Yes to confirm that you have a Matter device.
- Scan your Matter QR Code or enter the pairing code and follow the on-screen instructions. The pairing code is found on the device instructions or on the device itself.
If you don't have a Thread-enabled Alexa hub and can't connect your Thread-based Matter device to Alexa, try set up with another Thread-enabled voice assistant. Then, connect your device to Alexa using the instructions in Connect Matter Smart Home Devices to Alexa.
