Set Up an Alexa-connected Matter Device to Another Voice Assistant

If you have a Matter device set up with Alexa, you can connect the same device to other voice assistants.

Note: The Matter QR/pairing code found on the device or device packaging is only for use when initially setting up your device or after a factory reset.

To set up your Matter device with other assistants:

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select Devices .
  3. Select your Matter device.
  4. Select Other Assistants and Apps.
  5. Select Add another.
  6. Copy the 11-digit pairing code that is generated (this code is only valid for 15 minutes).
  7. Open the app of the other voice assistant, and follow the instructions for entering the code.
