What Are Amazon Music Profiles?

Amazon Music Profiles allow you to access recommendations, playlists, activity feeds, and playback based on your individual profile activity. You can use your profile within the Amazon Music app for iOS, Android, Fire TV, Fire tablet, or the web player.

Amazon Music Free, Amazon Music Unlimited Individual Plan, Amazon Music Standard Individual Plan, Amazon Music Unlimited Single Device Plan, and Amazon Music Prime Members

You can manage your Amazon Music profile to change your profile name, picture, privacy settings, and unique social handle. To edit your profile, make sure that you use either the latest Amazon Music app for Android or iOS, Fire tablet, or the web player.

By default, people can see the name, picture, unique handle, following list, followers list, and public playlists on your profile.

The only people who can see your profile would be those you shared a link to your profile with, or those who come across any playlists you leave public.

Tip: You can set your profile to private by editing your profile settings, under Profile Privacy and turning off Others can follow my profile.

Amazon Music Unlimited Family Plan and Amazon Music Standard Family Plan Members

With a Family Plan, you can create and manage multiple profiles within your account. On each profile, you personalize your content separately and have your own unique social handle, so people can follow you.

As an account holder:

  • You can have up to six user profiles (the default primary profile plus up to five additional profiles) with your Family Plan on a single Amazon account.
  • Add family members by either importing existing profiles from Alexa and Prime Video, or creating new profiles under your account. To edit your profile, make sure that you use either the latest Amazon Music app for Android or iOS, Fire tablet, or the web player.
    • Profiles created under your account may view other profiles and modify the account settings.
  • You can also choose to invite family members to join using their own Amazon account.
  • Remove family members by deleting their profile.

Note: Amazon Music currently only supports adult profiles.

As an invited member:

  • Accept an invitation to join Amazon Music Unlimited or Amazon Music Standard. However, you can only join one Amazon Music Family Plan at a time.
  • Edit your profile to change your profile name, picture, privacy settings, and unique social handle. If you join with your own account, you may only edit your own profile.
  • Personalize your listening experience by creating your own playlists, Liking or Following your favorite artists, and receiving your own recommendations.
  • Copy playlists from other profiles on the account to your profile.
  • You can transfer your Amazon Music profile to a new Amazon Music account while the Amazon Music Family Plan remains active. Profiles only transfer to Amazon accounts without Amazon Music.
  • Remove yourself from the plan by deleting your profile.
