Pair BLE or Auracast Headset to Your Fire TV Smart TV

Learn how to pair your BLE/Auracast headset or hearing aids to your Fire TV Smart TV.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) audio device refers to any audio device or hearing aid that supports BLE audio or Auracast technology.

Note: The following devices support BLE audio:
  • Panasonic W90/W95 Series Fire TV Smart TV
  • Panasonic Z85 Series Fire TV Smart TV
  • Panasonic Z90/Z93/Z95 Series Fire TV Smart TV

Before pairing your BLE audio device for the first time:

  • Fully charge your BLE audio device.
  • Use the manufacturer's recommended mobile app to update the firmware and configurations.
    Tip: For some BLE audio devices, you can use the app to turn on BLE Audio.
  • Connect your Fire TV to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network for the best audio experience.
  • Keep your audio device within 16 ft (5 m) of your Fire TV Smart TV.
  • For hearing aids, make sure that your hearing aid supports BLE audio.

To pair your BLE audio device:
  1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV Smart TV.
  2. Select Controller and Bluetooth devices.
  3. Select Audio devices and features.
  4. Select Add New Audio Device, and then do the following:
    1. Put your BLE audio device into pairing mode.
    2. Select your BLE audio device from the list of available devices on your Fire TV.
  5. While using Auracast:
    1. Use a Fire TV remote to control content playback.
    2. Use the manufacturer's mobile app to control the volume of your BLE audio device.
