Can’t Pair a BLE or Auracast Headset with Fire TV Smart TV

Troubleshoot issues using BLE/Auracast headsets or hearing aids with your Fire TV Smart TV.

Note: The following devices support BLE audio:
  • Panasonic W90/W95 Series Fire TV Smart TV
  • Panasonic Z85 Series Fire TV Smart TV
  • Panasonic Z90/Z93/Z95 Series Fire TV Smart TV
If you experience issues while pairing your BLE audio device to your Fire TV Smart TV, try the following suggestions:
  • If there's no audio after connecting to the BLE audio device:
    1. If you're not using the Auracast feature:
      • Unpair your BLE audio device from your Fire TV, and then pair it again.
    2. If you're using the Auracast feature:
      1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV Smart TV.
      2. Select Controller and Bluetooth devices > Audio devices and features.
      3. Select your BLE audio device and then turn on Auto join.
        • If Auto join is already on, turn it off and on again.
      4. For hearing aids, turn on Hearing aid compatibility.
    3. Restart your BLE audio device.
    4. If you still can’t pair or hear audio on your BLE audio device, factory reset your BLE audio device and pair again.
  • If you can't listen to Auracast from your Fire TV, join the Auracast network through a compatible mobile phone:
    1. Pair and connect your BLE audio device to a compatible mobile phone.
    2. Go to Settings on your Fire TV Smart TV.
    3. Select Controller and Bluetooth devices > Audio Devices and Features.
    4. Select Auracast and locate the Auracast Name and Auracast Passcode.
    5. Use the name and passcode to join the Auracast from your mobile phone.
  • If you can't hear audio from your Fire TV Smart TV speaker after disconnecting a BLE device:
    1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV Smart TV.
    2. Select Audio Devices and Features, and then select Auracast.
    3. Turn off Auracast.
