Remote Finder Not Working on Alexa Voice Remote Pro

If your Alexa Voice Remote Pro isn't ringing or Alexa doesn't understand your voice command, try these troubleshooting steps.

If the remote finder feature isn't working with your Alexa Voice Remote Pro, try these steps:

  1. Restart your Fire TV or Echo Show by unplugging it from the power source for 1 minute before plugging it back in.
  2. Make sure the batteries in the remote are good.
    • For best performance, use alkaline batteries.
    • If one of the batteries is bad, replace both batteries.
  3. Make sure you're using the correct voice command: "Find my remote."
  4. If you're using the Fire TV app to find your remote, connect the app to the same device as your remote.
Note: For Echo Shows, the Fire TV app only supports the "Find my remote" voice command.
  5. If you have multiple Alexa Voice Remote Pro remotes, use the correct name for the remote you're trying to find.
You can access and manage the Alexa Voice Remote Pro names in the Alexa app. The names appear under All Devices.
  6. Unpair and then pair your Alexa Voice Remote Pro with your Fire TV or Echo Show device.
