Wall Mount Your Echo Hub
Use the hardware included with your Echo Hub.
To mount the Echo Hub on the wall, you need:
- Included wall mounting template
- Included wall mount and mounting hardware
- Electric drill, with 1/4" (or 6.5 mm) drill bit and Phillips #2 driver bit
- Hammer
- Spirit level or level app
- Wall-safe tape, such as painter's tape
Important: Please note these tips before mounting your device:
- Don't drill holes where you might impact studs, electrical wire, or piping.
- Before mounting, unplug the device from electric outlets. Keep your device away from water.
- Consider the height of everyone using the device. We recommend placing it at about eye level for the people who will use it most.
To mount your Echo Hub:
- Use the mounting tips and included mounting template to identify where to mount your device.
- Place the template on the wall, with the triangle at the top, at your chosen height and location.
- Use a level or level app to level the template, then tape the template in place. You can also mark the drill points with a pencil.
- Use an electric drill with a 1/4" or 6.5-mm drill bit. Drill through the designated holes in the template. Remove the template after you drill the holes.
- Slowly hammer the two included anchors into the holes until they're flush with the wall.
- Place the wall mount against the wall, then align the two holes with the installed anchors.
- With the Phillips driver bit, drive the screws through the two wall mount holes and into the installed anchors. Tighten until the screws are flush against the wall mount.
- Plug the supplied power cord into your Echo Hub. Don't plug the power adapter into a wall outlet yet.
- Place the Echo Hub over the top of the wall mount, parallel to the wall, with the device buttons on the right. Slide the device down over the mount, so that the mount hooks engage firmly with the device. Make sure that all four hooks in the wall mount engage with your device.
- Connect the device power adapter into a wall outlet.
