Update or Reset Device PIN on Amazon Kids Tablet

Update or reset the device PIN (or password/pattern) on your Amazon Kids tablet.

The Amazon Kids tablet uses a device PIN (or password/pattern) to protect access to adult profiles and settings. If you need to change your current PIN or have forgotten it, follow the steps below.

Change Your Device PIN

If you already know your device PIN and want to update it:

  1. Switch to an adult profile. For more guidance, refer to Switch Between Profiles on Amazon Kids Tablet.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Security & privacy.
  4. Tap on Device unlock.
  5. Tap on Screen lock and enter your current PIN.
  6. Choose a new screen lock option for Swipe, Pattern, PIN, or Password and update.

If you are in the child’s profile and don’t remember the device PIN, you will need to manually reset the device in Fastboot mode. For additional guidance, visit Reset Your Tablet Manually with Fastboot Mode.
