Identify Objects with Alexa+ Visual Input
Use your Echo Show's camera to identify objects and get help with daily tasks.
Note: Not all features and services will be available at once. New features will roll out across compatible devices during the Early Access period. For more information on available features and supported devices go to:
Alexa+
You can use the camera on your Echo Show device to identify objects and describe surroundings. This feature allows Alexa to assist you in new, expanded ways and is helpful for users with visual impairments.
For example, show your device a plant and ask Alexa to identify the type of plant, its care instructions, and even set reminders for watering schedule. You can also ask Alexa to look at your outfit and offer fashion advice, or your room and offer décor ideas.
Note: Make sure that there's good lighting in your room and that nothing is blocking your Echo Show's camera. For identifying objects hold items about 1-2 feet from the camera.
