Exchange or replace eligible items in Your Orders
Received a damaged, defective, or wrong item sold by Amazon and need a replacement? Is your order missing an item and you want a refund or replacement? Go to .
Exchange eligibility criteria
Items eligible for exchange must meet the following criteria:
- Item is not a gift.
- Item was originally purchased with a credit or debit card.
- The item wasn't purchased with a promotion (except for free shipping promotions).
Items from Marketplace sellers, including Fulfilled by Amazon and The Drop Collections can't be exchanged or replaced. Instead, request a return through Your Orders.
Exchanges for a different size or color
Exchanges are available for the following categories, as long as they have a size or color variation:
- Apparel (including Staples by The Drop products, but excluding Collections by the Drop products)
- Sports goods
- Shoes
- Baby products
- Jewelry and watches
Exchange items must meet the following criteria:
- It's a different size or color than the return item.
- It's shipped and sold by Amazon.
Exchanges for an item in your cart
The exchange item must meet the following criteria:
- It's added in a quantity of one to the cart
- It's shipped and sold by Amazon.
- It's not identical to the item being returned.
- It's not marked as a gift in your cart.
