Exchange or replace eligible items in Your Orders

Received a damaged, defective, or wrong item sold by Amazon and need a replacement? Is your order missing an item and you want a refund or replacement? Go to .

Exchange eligibility criteria

Items eligible for exchange must meet the following criteria:

  • Item is not a gift.
  • Item was originally purchased with a credit or debit card.
  • The item wasn't purchased with a promotion (except for free shipping promotions).

Items from Marketplace sellers, including Fulfilled by Amazon and The Drop Collections can't be exchanged or replaced. Instead, request a return through Your Orders.

Exchanges for a different size or colour

Exchanges are available for the following categories, as long as they have a size or colour variation:

  • Apparel (including Staples by The Drop products, but excluding Collections by the Drop products)
  • Sports goods
  • Shoes
  • Baby products
  • Jewellery and watches

Exchange items must meet the following criteria:

  • It's a different size or colour than the return item.
  • It's shipped and sold by Amazon.

Exchanges for an item in your basket

The exchange item must meet the following criteria:

  • It's added in a quantity of one to the basket
  • It's shipped and sold by Amazon.
  • It's not identical to the item being returned.
  • It's not marked as a gift in your basket.
Note: If an exchange order is lost or undeliverable, or when you cancel or return it, any refund for your original order will be issued to your Amazon Gift Card balance.
