Enroll in Visual ID on Your Echo Devices with a Screen
Create a visual ID for a personalized Alexa experience on your compatible Echo device with a screen.
Note: Settings menu items for
the Echo Hub and Echo Show 5 (all generations) may vary, and those devices will receive a software update soon.
To enroll in visual ID after setting up your device:
- Select Accounts & Profiles.
- Select Your Profile & Family.
- Select Visual ID.
- Select Agree & Continue and follow the steps on your device.
Note: Visual ID isn't supported if the camera is disabled, the camera shutter is closed, or the Microphones & Camera Enable/Disable
button is pressed.
To turn off Visual ID temporarily, press the Microphones & Camera Enable/Disable
button to turn off the camera and microphones.
