How to Set Up Amazon Luna Controller

Use the Amazon Luna Controller app to set up your Luna Controller.

Basic Requirements

To start, have the following parts, accessories, and information ready:

  • The Amazon Luna Controller and two AA batteries.
  • A mobile device to download the Amazon Luna Controller app.
  • An Amazon account, including your email address or phone number and password

How to Set Up Your Device

  1. Download the Luna Controller app from the app store on your mobile device or use the QR code following these instructions.
  2. Insert two AA batteries into your Luna Controller.
  3. Press and hold the Home button for about three seconds to enter setup mode (indicated by an orange circling light around the Home button.
    Note: If you have a compatible Echo or Fire TV device, your Luna Controller may try to connect automatically to your Wi-Fi.
  4. Wait 30 seconds after powering on your controller setup to complete.
  5. Log in to the Luna Controller app using your Amazon account.
  6. To set up your controller, select Set up New Luna Controller and follow the instructions in the app.

Set Up Troubleshooting

If setting up your device doesn't go as expected, try the following suggestions:

  • If you get a login error or have forgotten your Amazon account password, you can reset your password. Go to Forgot Your Password.
  • If you have problems pairing your Luna Controller with Bluetooth, try the troubleshooting steps available at this page: Can't Pair Your Luna Controller with Bluetooth.

Use Your Luna Controller to Play Games Outside of Luna

To play games outside of Luna with your Luna Controller, you can connect your Luna Controller to compatible devices via Bluetooth or USB-C.

To make your Luna Controller discoverable via Bluetooth:

  1. Turn on Luna Controller Bluetooth pairing mode by holding the Action and B buttons for three seconds (until there's a pulsing white light).
  2. You can configure your Luna Controller's Bluetooth settings in the Luna Controller app.

Note: Bluetooth gameplay on Windows PCs, you can follow the guidance to Install Amazon Luna Controller's Driver for Windows PC. If you play without the driver, it can cause button-mapping issues.
