Fire TV Smart TV Has Video but No Audio
To resolve audio issues, check your audio output settings and restart your Fire TV.
To troubleshoot issues with your audio, follow these steps:
- Make sure that your TV isn't muted. Press the Volume Up button on your Fire TV remote to increase the volume.
- If you use your TV speakers for sound, turn on your TV speakers:
- Go to Settings
. - Select Display & Audio.
- Select Audio Output.
- Check that the TV Speakers option shows as On.
- Go to Settings
- If you use an external speaker for sound:
- Go to Settings
- Select Display & Audio.
- Select Audio Output and make the following changes:
- TV Speakers: OFF
- ARC MODE: Auto
- Digital Audio Format: Auto
- Go to Settings
- Restart your Fire TV Smart TV in one of the following ways:
- Press and hold the Play/Pause and Select
buttons together for 3-5 seconds. - Unplug the power cord from your Fire TV Smart TV or wall outlet for at least 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
- Press and hold the Play/Pause and Select
