Set Up Your Fire TV Smart TV

Set up and register your device to use Alexa, access the full Amazon Appstore, and receive Fire TV software updates.

1. Plug the power cord into an outlet.
2. Put batteries in your Fire TV remote.
3. Turn on your TV using the Power button on your Fire TV remote.
4. If your remote doesn't pair automatically, press the Home button until "Press to start" appears on-screen (about 10 seconds).
5. Activate the Voice Commands When TV Screen is Off feature.
6. To set up Wi-Fi, choose one of the options:
   • Use your mobile phone to scan the on-screen QR code to automatically set up Wi-Fi connection.
   • Use your Fire TV remote and follow on-screen instructions to manually set up Wi-Fi connection.
7. To sign-in or sign up with your Amazon account, choose one of these options:
   • Scan the on-screen QR code with your mobile phone.
   • Visit the on-screen web address (amazon.co.uk/code) and enter the activation code shown on your screen.

   Note: If you created an account without a password, press the Back button on your remote when prompted to enter your password. Use your mobile phone or computer to visit the on-screen web address ( amazon.co.uk/code) and enter the verification code.
