The following are common scenarios for unknown charges:

  • Order and delivery issues

    • You were charged smaller amounts for each delivery. Go to Transactions to check the exact amount charged for each delivery. For more information, go to Multiple Charges for the Same Order.

    • A gift order shipped.

    • You placed a digital order (for example, Kindle content, Prime Video, Amazon MP3).

  • Subscription auto-renewal

    • A free subscription trial has ended or a subscription has been renewed. Examples include Kindle Unlimited, Amazon Prime or Amazon Music Unlimited. To view or cancel your subscriptions, go to Your Memberships & Subscriptions.

  • Payment authorisation issues

    • Order placed by someone with access to your card number.

    • Other cards are associated with the credit or debit account.

    • An order was cancelled or changed recently. Some banks show authorisations as charges or pending charges. For more information, go to Pending Charges for Cancelled Orders.

    • You placed an order outside Amazon.co.uk using Amazon Pay. Amazon Pay orders begin with 'P02' and are followed by 14 digits. Check your Amazon Pay account for your order history. For further assistance with any Amazon Pay transactions, visit the Amazon Pay Help Page.
