Set Up Your Echo Devices with a Screen for Home Monitoring

Home Monitoring on your Echo device lets you remotely access your devices camera feed, sends you alerts or starts routines when motion is detected, and more.

Note: Settings menu items for the Echo Hub and Echo Show 5 (all generations) may vary, and those devices will receive a software update soon.

To turn on Home Monitoring from your device settings:

  1. Say, "Go to Settings," or go to the device settings on your Echo Show:
    • If you're using Alexa+, select the Menu icon on your screen, and then select Settings.
    • If you're using the original Alexa, swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings.
  2. Select Privacy & Permissions.
  3. Select Home Monitoring.
  4. Follow the prompts to verify your account and turn on Home Monitoring.
