Ordering from a Marketplace Seller
Marketplace sellers are independent sellers who offer a variety of new, used and refurbished items.
How to Order from a Marketplace Seller
- Select the item that you want to purchase.
- Follow the prompts to complete your order.
- After your order is placed, Amazon sends your payment to the seller without sharing your payment information.
- If the item is not Fulfilled by Amazon or dispatched via Prime, the seller will fulfill your order.
Canceling or Modifying a Marketplace Order
- You can cancel a Marketplace order within one business day through Your Account. After that, the seller must approve any cancellation requests.
- For orders in fulfillment, the seller must approve cancellation requests.
- If your order shipped directly from a seller and can't be modified, contact the seller for instructions
For more information about cancelling orders, visit Cancel Items and Orders.
Payment and Security
Always send payment to a Marketplace seller through Amazon. Regard any request to make a payment outside of Amazon (for example, using Moneygram, Western Union, bank transfer) as fraudulent and contact us to report the seller.
Contacting the Marketplace Seller
Since we are not directly involved in sales arranged with Marketplace sellers, you'll need to contact the seller directly for the following:
- Questions about their listed items.
- Inquiries about dispatch and delivery timelines.
- If your order does not arrive by the estimated date.
- If a received item is damaged or defective.
- If the received item does not match the listing.

Resolving Disputes
If you have a dispute with a Marketplace order, you may be able to file an A-to-z Guarantee claim with us.

Marketplace Pricing
Sellers set their own prices for the items they sell on Amazon. Prices for similar items can vary between different sellers.
Seller Inventory
Marketplace sellers aim to maintain accurate inventory, but occasionally a listed item may become unavailable by the time you place your order. We require sellers to minimize these stock issues.
