What are Parental Controls on Fire Tablet?
Parental Controls on Fire Tablet block full features of the device and require the password for access to many things, like downloading an app or web browsing.
Note: Parental Controls are designed to restrict access on an adult profile for users 13 and older. For children under 13,
create a Child Profile to make your Fire Tablet kid-friendly. Child Profile settings contain a range of features for managing your child's tablet use.
After enabling Parental Controls on your Fire tablet, you can restrict access to:
- Web browsing
- Email, Contacts, and Calendar apps
- Purchasing from the Amazon Store or Amazon Shop app
- Playing titles from Prime Video
- Content types (for example, "Apps and Games", "Books", "Music")
- Wireless connectivity
- The camera
- Location-based Services
Note: Enabling Parental Controls does not remove Mature or Adult-rated content from the device. You may encounter such content in
Apps and Games,
Music, and
Books, or in Amazon store search results.
