Buy Books for Your Kindle for Windows App
Use the Kindle Store to purchase books for your app.
Important: The Legacy Kindle app (previously called Kindle for PC) isn't supported as of June 30, 2026. To download the new Kindle for Windows app, go to
Install or Update the Kindle App for Desktop.
- Open the Kindle app.
- Select Kindle Store, located on the left navigation bar in your app.
- Buy the book using your preferred option.
Your book is available in your library after a successful purchase.
If you don't find it at first, try syncing your app.
