Install or Update the Kindle For PC on Your Computer

Use the Kindle app to start reading from your PC or Mac.

Supported Operating Systems:
  • PC: Windows 8, 8.1, 10, or 11.
  • Mac: OS x 10.14 or higher
Note: If your operating system isn't supported, use our Kindle for Web.
  1. Go to Download Kindle Apps.
  2. Select Download for PC & Mac.
  3. When the download completes, follow the on-screen installation instructions.
