Install or Update the Kindle App for Desktop

Use the Kindle app to start reading from your PC or Mac.

Supported Operating Systems:
  • PC: Windows 10 or 11.
  • Mac: OS x 10.14 or higher
Note: If your operating system isn't supported, use Kindle for Web.

To download the Kindle app on desktop:

  1. Go to Download Kindle Apps.
  2. Select Download for PC & Mac.
  3. When the download completes, follow the on-screen installation instructions.
