What is Eye Gaze on Fire Tablets?
Eye Gaze on Alexa lets you use your supported Fire Max 11 Tablet to perform preset Alexa actions, like playing music and shows.
Instead of using voice or touch, Eye Gaze on Alexa lets you use your eyes to perform preset Alexa actions, like playing music and shows, controlling your home environment, and communicating with loved ones entirely hands and voice-free.
To turn on this feature, go to Settings, select Alexa, and turn on Eye Gaze on Alexa. Alternatively, you can go to Settings, select Accessibility, then select Eye Gaze on Alexa.
When you use Eye Gaze for the first time, you'll need to complete a calibration session. This will help with gaze tracking accuracy, and should take about one minute to complete.
While using this feature:
- Keep your device at eye-level and mounted in a stable, horizontal position (landscape mode).
- Minimize the tilt of the device as much as possible.
- Position the device 1.5-2 feet away and make sure your face is in view of the camera.
- Make sure you are in a brightly lit room. If you wear glasses, glare from your lenses may affect accuracy. Try adjusting the lighting to remove any glare.
