Add or Manage Your Child Profile
How to setup, add, or remove a child profile.
Manage access and settings on your kids' child profiles through Parent Dashboard and Amazon Family.
Note: You can create up to four child profiles and add or remove profiles anytime.
Add a child profile (on the web):
- Go to Parent Dashboard or Amazon Family
- select Add a Child profile or the 'New +' icon
- Enter your child's name and birthdate and select Add Child. To add a 2nd Child Profile:
- Select the '+' icon beside your Child's display picture.
- Choose Add Profile / Add a Child.
- Add your child's name and details and select Add Child.
Add a Child Profile (On Parent Dashboard app):
- From the App home screen, Select a profile icon
- Select + Add New. If you have more than 4 child profiles, you will need to delete one to create a new one
- Select + New Profile
- Enter your Child's name and details
- Select Add Child to confirm.
Removing a child profile from the Parent Dashboard or the device hides it from your Amazon Kids devices, but the profile still exists on your Amazon account. Removing it from Amazon Family deletes it from your account entirely.
Remove from your Amazon account (delete completely)
- Go to Amazon Family.
- Select the profile that you wish to remove.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Remove from your Amazon Family.
Remove from the Parent Dashboard (hide from devices)
- Go to Parent Dashboard.
- Select the child profile icon.
- Select the pencil (edit) icon next to the profile that you want to remove.
- Select Remove Profile.
- Save changes.
Troubleshoot common issues and provide feedback:
- Within the Parent Dashboard mobile app, visit More (bottom right).
- Go to Feedback and Troubleshooting.
- Choose the applicable options from the list (App Issues or Give Feedback).
