Turn Adaptive Content On or Off
Adaptive Content changes what you see on your Echo devices with a screen depending on your distance from the device. Use your device settings to turn Adaptive Content on or off.
Adaptive Content is an optional setting, and is turned on by default.
To turn Adaptive Content on or off:
- Say, "Go to Settings," or go to the device settings on your Echo Show:
- If you're using Alexa+, select the Menu
icon on your screen, and then select Settings
. - If you're using the original Alexa, swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings
.
- If you're using Alexa+, select the Menu
- Select Display & Appearance.
- Select one of the following (depending on your device):
- Home Screen Layout: Choose from Auto Partial View, Auto Full View, or Manual View. Select Manual View to turn off Adaptive Content.
- Adaptive Content: Use the switch to turn Adaptive Content on or off. When it's off choose your default view: Full-Screen View or Widget View.
Your device won't support Adaptive Content if you disable the camera, close the camera's shutter, or press the Microphones & Camera Enable/Disable
.
You can use the camera shutter and/or the Microphones & Camera Enable/Disable button to temporarily turn off Adaptive Content.
