Reset Your Echo Spot (2024 Release)
If your Echo Spot is unresponsive, or you want to erase your settings, factory reset your device.
Tip: Before attempting a full device reset, try restarting the device first, as a reboot often resolves common issues. Unplug the power adapter, wait a few seconds, and then reconnect it. If restarting doesn't resolve the problem, proceed with the following reset procedure.
To reset your Echo Spot:
- Say "Go to settings," or swipe down from the top of screen and select Settings.
- Select Device Options.
- Select Factory Reset.
- To keep your Echo Spot's smart home connections, such as routines with smart devices, select Reset, but Retain Smart Home Device Connections.
- If there are no smart home connections, or to reset the device and erase all settings, select Reset to Factory Defaults.
When the reset finishes, the device screen shows the setup QR code. Scan it with your smart phone to start the guided device setup on the Alexa app.
