Create Collections in Kindle for Windows

How to create Collections to keep your Kindle library organized.

Important: The Legacy Kindle app (previously called Kindle for PC) isn't supported as of June 30, 2026. To download the new Kindle for Windows app, go to Install or Update the Kindle App for Desktop.
  1. Open the Kindle app for Windows
  2. Select + New Collection under Collections.
  3. Enter a name for your Collection, then select Create.
    Tip: You can also create a collection for by selecting one or more books, then select Create Collection
