Search Through Content on Your Kindle Scribe
Quickly locate content with Search on Kindle Scribe.
Note: To use this feature on your Kindle Scribe:
- You need a Kindle Scribe released in 2025 or later.
- You need to register your Kindle Scribe to an Amazon account and connect it to the internet.
- Tap inside the top search bar from any screen.
- Type in key words or handwrite them in the canvas that opens at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Enter ↵ to trigger the search.
Kindle Scribe searches all notebooks and books in your Library, even the ones not downloaded locally. When you tap a search result from an non-downloaded item, your device prompts you to download it.
Notebook search supports handwritten text in the following languages: English (UK and U.S.), French (Canada and France), German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Chinese (Simplified)–Pinyin.
Search results show in categories for simpler identification, and you can use filters and sort options to narrow down your search. Results from your notebooks show page numbers for easier navigation.
