Ask Notebooks on Kindle Scribe
Search through your notebooks, obtain AI-powered insights, and refine your search with the Ask Notebooks GenAI feature.
- You need a Kindle Scribe released in 2025 or later.
- You need to register your Kindle Scribe to an Amazon account and connect it to the internet.
The universal search displays results from the Kindle Store, your Library, and AI insights from your notebooks.
Trigger the Ask Notebooks GenAI feature from the AI-powered insights results category and refine your search. Type in or handwrite questions on the canvas that opens at the bottom of the screen and ask follow-up questions.
Search answers use only information from your notebooks. They’re a quick way to search through your own notes.
Use the Add to notebook option to paste the response generated to your notebooks. Customize the font family, font size and line spacing, and choose to add the response to the first or the last page of your notebook.
Use the New chat option at the top to end the current chat conversation and start a new one.
You can find your previous chat conversations in the Chat history tab at the top. Kindle Scribe saves chat history for only 30 days. To save the answers permanently, add them to your notebooks.
