How to Request Home Services with Alexa+

Alexa+ lets you request home services like cleaning, maintenance, and repair projects with the assistance of Alexa.

Note: Not all features and services will be available at once. New features will roll out across compatible devices during the Early Access period. For more information on available features and supported devices go to: Alexa+

To request a home service:

  1. Ask Alexa for help with a home task, such as, "I need to find a house cleaner."
    Alexa provides a list of service providers who can assist, based on the details of your request.
  2. If you haven't linked your Alexa account with the third-party service, Alexa guides you through the account linking process. For more information on the account linking process, go to Compatibility of Alexa+ with Alexa Enabled Devices.
  3. Confirm or edit the service.
    Once confirmed, Alexa initiates the request of the third-party service.

To adjust your request, you can say things like:

  • "I'm looking for the cheapest option for an appliance repair."
  • "Which business has the best reviews?"
  • "I need someone who can respond to my request in an hour."

Once confirmed, your device receives a notification and the third-party service provider sends you a confirmation email.

Note: Cancellations or changes to booked appointments aren't currently supported. You need to reach out to the service provider directly. Contact details for the service provider can be found in the confirmation email you receive from the third-party.
