What Are Personal Documents?

Personal Documents are files such as PDFs and Word documents that can be added to your Kindle library and read in Kindle for Windows.

Supported file types include:

• PDF (.PDF)
• Text (.TXT)
• Images (.JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .BMP, .GIF)
• RTF (.RTF)
• HTML (.HTML, .HTM)
• EPUB

In Kindle for Windows, you can browse your documents in the Library menu on the left. Downloaded files are labeled with a checkmark.
