Set Up Smart Home Camera Features with Alexa+

Ask Alexa to search or summarize events captured by your Ring cameras.

Camera Event Summaries

Use any supported Alexa-enabled device to ask Alexa for a summary of events detected by your Ring cameras. Your Ring cameras must be covered by a Ring subscription.

Ring AI Features

Ring AI features work with your compatible Alexa-supported devices to help you stay informed about activity captured by your Ring cameras. Ring AI features require a Ring AI Pro subscription. Once you've set up your Ring camera, set up Smart Alerts in the Ring app. Find instructions by visiting Setting up Smart Alerts (https://ring.com/support/articles/9qnpt/Refining-Your-Motion-Alerts-for-People-and-Other-Motions).

Next, connect your Ring devices to Alexa.

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Select More , then select Skills & Games.
  3. Use Search Alexa Skills to find the Ring skill. Select it and then select Enable to Use.
  4. Select Enable Skill and Link Accounts if your accounts aren't already linked. If they are, select Enable Skill.
  5. Log into your Ring account and select Authorize.
  6. Select Discover Devices to enable Alexa on your Ring devices.
