Create a Collection Cloud Copy on the Legacy Kindle App

Copy Local Collections created in the Legacy Kindle App to your account to sync on your other Kindle apps and devices.

Important: The Legacy Kindle app (previously called Kindle for PC) isn't supported as of June 30, 2026. To download the new Kindle for Windows app, go to Install or Update the Kindle App for Desktop.
  1. The Kindle for Windows app doesn't support local collections. To access your local collections from the Kindle for Legacy app (previously called Kindle for PC), create a copy and upload them to the cloud.
  2. Connect your PC to the internet.
  3. In the Legacy Kindle app (previously called Kindle for PC) home screen, below the Local Collection, select the three dots icon.
  4. Click Create a cloud copy.

Note: Sideloaded documents that are locally available won’t be added to the new cloud collection.
