Adjust the Level of Passthrough on Echo Buds

Use the Alexa app to adjust the amount of ambient noise you hear with Pass-through.

Tip: To quickly access Passthrough settings in the Alexa app, you can press the Echo Buds card in the Alexa app. If you don't see the Echo Buds card, use the following steps to update your device settings:
  1. Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  2. Open the Alexa app .
  3. Open the case, and place the Echo Buds in your ears.
  4. Select Devices .
  5. Select your Echo Buds device:
    • Echo Buds (1st Gen)
    • Echo Buds (2nd Gen)
  6. Under Ambient Sound Control, select Passthrough.
  7. Under Passthrough, choose plus or minus to adjust the amount of noise you hear.
    Note: For Echo Buds (2021 release, 2nd gen), you only see this option if Passthrough is turned On.
