Use Your Wake Word to Talk to Alexa in the Alexa App

Talk to Alexa on your Alexa app using your wake word.

  1. Open the Alexa app .
  2. Open More and select Settings.
  3. Select Device Settings.
  4. Turn on Enable Alexa Hands Free.
  5. Give mic and location permissions if prompted.
Note: The Alexa app must be open and running in the foreground to use the wake word.
