What's transferred when you change your Amazon Account Country?
Learn what content, features, and services you can and can’t transfer to your Amazon account in a new country.
Your Kindle content, Apps and Games, and Digital Music will be available on the Manage Your Content and Devices page after transferring your Amazon account.
The Kindle Store on your Fire Tablet or Kindle devices registered to your account will be updated the next time you connect your device wirelessly. You’ll be able to access your compatible content from the Cloud.
Important: If you create a new Amazon account instead of transferring the existing account, you can't share purchases between the accounts. You'll have separate login credentials for each account.
Can Transfer
- Kindle Books

- Audible Audiobooks
- Amazon Drive Files
- Amazon Music
- To learn how to transfer your Amazon Music, visit Transfer Your Amazon Music Account to Another Country or Region.
- Prime Video
- Your paid or free trial memberships or subscriptions remain active on your Amazon account in the transferred country. As long as the transferred country supports the subscription or service.
- Appstore Games and Apps
- Your Appstore Apps and In-App purchases will continue to work as before.
- However, your Appstore subscription will work if the following conditions are met:
- The Appstore in your old and new countries is the same.
- Your new country is supported by the third-party developers.
Can't Transfer
- Amazon Prime Membership, Amazon Music Unlimited and Amazon Kindle Unlimited Subscriptions
- Your Amazon Prime and Amazon Music Unlimited subscriptions won't transfer. You can cancel them and sign up again in your new marketplace.
- Kindle Unlimited subscriptions can't be moved to a different country or region. If your country changes, your subscription will be canceled, and any titles you borrowed through Kindle Unlimited will be returned.
- 1- Click Payment Methods and Billing Information
- You'll need to re-enter you billing address and 1-Click payment method in your new marketplace.
- Rented or Purchased Prime Video Titles
- Books borrowed through Prime Reading
- An automatic return of borrowed books takes place. Your credits stay unaffected.
- Amazon Kids or Amazon Kids+
- Your Amazon Kids+ subscription gets automatically cancelled.
- Newsstand and Magazine Subscriptions from the Kindle Store
- o You'll not be able to access past issues once you've transferred your account.
- Amazon Family and Family Library Profiles
- Amazon Family and Family Library profiles get automatically deleted and you won't be able to join another Amazon Family for 180 days.
- Amazon Gift Card or Promotional Balances
- Amazon Gift Card and promotional balances won't transfer. The balance remains available on your original Amazon marketplace.
- Luna Subscriptions
- Luna subscriptions can't be transferred between countries. However, when you start a new Luna subscription in a supported country, your game progress transfers to the new subscription.
