Transfer Your Kindle Content to Another Country or Region

If your country or region has changed, you can transfer Kindle content you've purchased to match your new local Amazon marketplace. Kindle Unlimited subscriptions can't be transferred.

Transferring your Amazon account to another country or region transfers your digital content to the new account. It also allows you to purchase content from the Kindle Store in your local currency.

  1. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices and click Preferences.
  2. Click Change under Country Settings.
  3. Select or enter your address, and click Update.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to learn more about what will happen if you transfer your Amazon account.
  5. When you're ready, select the option to transfer your account to complete the process.
Note:

Kindle Unlimited subscriptions can’t be transferred to a new country or region. If your country changes, your subscription is cancelled and your titles borrowed through Kindle Unlimited are automatically returned.

After your account is transferred, you can check if Kindle Unlimited is available in your new country or region by visiting Kindle Unlimited.

Other subscription services, such as Subscribe with Amazon, will also be cancelled.
