Turn Tap to Alexa On or Off

Use the device settings to turn on Tap to Alexa on Echo devices with a screen and Fire tablets.

Note: You need to turn on Alexa to use Tap to Alexa.
To turn Tap to Alexa on or off:
  1. Say, "Go to Settings," or go to the device settings on your Echo Show:
    • If you're using Alexa+, select the Menu icon on your screen, and then select Settings .
    • If you're using the original Alexa, swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings .
  2. Select Accessibility.
  3. Turn Tap to Alexa on or off.
