Manage Payment Methods
Add or update your payment methods through Your Payments in Your Account.
To manage your payment methods:
- In Your Account, select Your Payments.
- Choose one of the following:

To add a payment method, select Add a payment method.

To edit a payment method, select the card you wish to edit. When the card opens, select Edit. You can update your billing address or update card details.
- To remove a payment method, select the card you wish to remove. When the card opens, select Remove from wallet.

- Follow the on-screen instructions.
You can also add a new credit/debit card to your account while placing an order through the shopping cart; when on the Select a Payment Method page choose Add a credit or debit card and enter your details. The new payment method will be saved to your account and appear as a saved credit/debit card when you place your next Amazon order.
Update Payment Methods on Open Orders
Updating a payment method in Your Payments will not change the payment method on open orders. To change the payment method for an open order, go to Change Your Order Information.
Tap to Pay:
- With 'Tap to Pay', you can pay for or add a contactless card to complete your order. You'll need to use a compatible device on the Amazon app. There are no transaction limits. Select 'payment method' at checkout on the Amazon app.
- Tap to Pay will appear as an option on compatible devices, no PIN is required.
- Instructions will advise you to tap your contactless payment card to complete orders. Once successful, you will be notified.
- You can toggle the "Save my card for later" function as desired. If the card is saved in Amazon wallet, the same card can be tapped but opting out will not be allowed. You need to manually delete the card from your Amazon wallet, if you wish to opt out for an already saved card.
- Finally, select 'Continue' to review and submit your order. Tap to Pay will only be available on compatible devices at checkout.
For metal cards, please be aware the NFC antenna for tapping may be located towards the rear of the card.
Tap to Add:
With 'Tap to Add', you can add your contactless payment method to your Account using a compatible Android device on the Amazon app. All cards are accepted.
Follow these steps to add a payment method using Tap to Add during Checkout:
- Select 'payment method' at checkout on the Amazon app. Tap to Add will appear as an option on compatible Android devices, no Pin is required.
- Instructions will advise you to add your contactless payment card to complete orders.
- Tap the card top to bottom on the back of the Android phone.
- Once successful, you will be notified.
- Finally, select 'Continue' to review and submit your order.
Follow these steps to add a payment method using Tap to Add on Your Payments in Your Account:
- Select 'Add' on the Your Payments page on the Amazon app.
- Select 'Add a credit or debit card'. Tap to Add will appear as an option on compatible Android devices, no Pin is required.
- Once successful, you will be notified.
In some instances, card issuers may provide Amazon with updated payment card details when reissuing cards. For metal cards, please be aware the NFC antenna for tapping may be located towards the rear of the card.
