Use Shop with Points

After you register an eligible rewards program to your account, you can use your Shop with Points balance during checkout.

To order with Shop with Points:

Select your rewards-enabled credit card as a payment method during checkout.

Apply the maximum available points to your eligible order or choose a different amount of points to apply.

Note: If you don't have enough points to pay for your order, you can pay the remaining amount with your rewards-enabled credit card, a gift card, or both. The use of rewards points has no influence on the invoice amount. Rewards points don't reduce the value of the order, but are only used as a means of payment.

Use Shop with Points as Default Payment Method:

To opt in for this feature:

  1. Go to the Shop with Points page in Your Account.
  2. Select the toggle on button below the Use rewards option.
  3. To opt out of this feature, select the toggle off button.

If you don't want to use your rewards points balance on an order while opted in to this feature, you can adjust your desired amount of points applied to your order at checkout.

Note: Only American Express Cards issued in the UK by American Express Services Europe Limited and enrolled into the Membership Rewards programme are eligible for Shop with Points at Amazon.co.uk.
Note: This feature may not be available for all Rewards programs.

If you update any portion of an order after it's placed but before shipment, points will be removed as a payment method from your order. Points will also be removed as payment method if you change the expiration date on your credit card or update the shipping address.

The points that you redeem will be deducted from your rewards points balance as soon as you place your order. If you cancel your order before it is shipped, your points will be automatically refunded within 5 to 7 business days.

If you have selected rewards points several times in quick succession for a purchase on Amazon.co.uk it may happen that your points balance is not sufficient for further purchases. In this case you will receive a request to change your payment method. Please follow this request, which is displayed under Your Orders, and update your payment method for the relevant orders.

Note:
  • There are no fees for using your rewards at Amazon.
  • You can manage your Shop with Points accounts and view your available points balance on Shop with Points in Your Account.
  • If your rewards points aren't available at checkout, contact the rewards provider American Express.

Amazon will refund Shop with Points paid orders according to its usual returns policies.

If the refund isn't equal to the entire order cost, Amazon will refund other payment methods initially charged before refunding rewards points. For more information about our refund policies, go to Refunds.

Note: For orders placed with Marketplace sellers, that seller's return policy will govern returns and refunds. However, orders that are sold by a seller and fulfilled by Amazon are subject to the Amazon returns policy.
