Update the Wi-Fi Settings for Your Echo Device
Use the Alexa app to update your device's Wi-Fi settings, or connect to a network.
Note: If you have an Echo screen device, update or change the Wi-Fi settings on the device itself. For those instructions, visit

- Open the Alexa app

- Select Devices
.
- Select your device.
- Select Device Settings
.
- Select Change or remove a Wi-Fi network.
- Connect to one of your previously connected Wi-Fi networks. If you don't see the Wi-Fi network that you want to connect to, select Join another Wi-Fi Network.
- Then follow the instructions in the Alexa app.
Tip: If you have an
Echo Spot (2024 Release), select the
Wi-Fi Off
icon on the device screen. Then scan the QR code with your mobile device, and select the link to start the Wi-Fi settings process in the Alexa app.

Echo devices connect to Wi-Fi networks used in most homes such as Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz networks that use the 802.11a / b / g / n standard. Echo devices can't connect to ad-hoc (or peer-to-peer) networks.
