Add or Remove Books from Your Kindle for Windows App

Add or remove a book to manage space on your home screen library.

Important: The Legacy Kindle app (previously called Kindle for PC) isn't supported as of June 30, 2026. To download the new Kindle for Windows app, go to Install or Update the Kindle App for Desktop.
  1. Open the Kindle app for Windows.
  2. Go to Manage Your Content And Devices.
  3. Select the Content tab on the top left.
  4. Select Books. For Kindle audiobooks, select Audiobook category.
  5. Find the book you wish to add or remove, then select Deliver or remove from device .
  6. Check or uncheck the Kindle for Windows app, then select Make Changes.
