Alexa Voice Commands Aren't Working with Fire TV Blaster
Alexa can't complete your request or responds with errors like, "I couldn't find any available video skills" or "Sorry, the hub this device is connected to is not responding."
- When you use a voice command, include the name of the TV or device you're trying control. For example, "Turn on living room TV" or "Turn the volume up on the soundbar."
- Make sure that your Fire TV and Echo device:
- Have the latest software version.
- Are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and Amazon account.
- Are linked in the Alexa app.
- From the Alexa app, go to Settings.
- Select TV & Video.
- Select Fire TV.
- If you have multiple devices, confirm that the correct Fire TV and Echo device are linked in the Alexa app.
Tip: If you're not sure what your devices are named, say, "What's your device name?" to learn the name of your Fire TV and Echo device. Use the Alexa Voice Remote to ask your Fire TV.
- If you have multiple TVs in the Alexa app, give each TV a unique name.
