Why Can't I Sign into My Account?
If you can't log into Amazon, you may be entering incorrect account information or you may need to reset your password.
How you sign in depends on how your account was set up. Some accounts use a password, while others use a one-time security code sent to your mobile number or email, or a passkey saved on your device. Find the option that matches your account setup below.
If you have a password
- Email Address: Your email address must be in the format username@domain.com (.net, .org). If you have multiple email addresses, make sure you're using the correct email address and password combination.
- Mobile Phone Number: If you created your account with a mobile phone number, you'll need to use this number to log in. Make sure to include your country code.
- Password: Check CAPS Lock and NUM Lock on your keyboard. Passwords are case-sensitive, so

are recognized as two different passwords. - One-Time Password (OTP) or Security code: If you didn't receive the OTP via SMS, select "Resend OTP" on the verification page. You'll also see an option to "Send OTP by WhatsApp." This allows you to receive the OTP through a WhatsApp account linked to your registered phone number on Amazon.
If your email address and mobile phone number are correct, proceed to Reset Your Password.
If you don't have a password
You may not have set a password when you created your Amazon account and that's okay. Your account is designed to be secure without one.
Here's how to sign in:
- Go to the Amazon sign-in page and enter your registered mobile number or email address.
- We'll send a one-time security code to that number or email.
- Enter the code when prompted, and you're in.
We recommend staying passwordless. It's a secure way to access your account. If you have set up a passkey, you can sign in with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN. If not, we recommend adding one for an even faster experience.
