Multi-Room Music Doesn’t Play with Alexa

If multi-room music doesn't work, try these troubleshooting steps.

  • Make sure that your group name is something Alexa can easily understand, such as "Living Room." Use names with at least two syllables and avoid special characters.
  • Make sure that your devices are on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Check that you've added devices you want to play music from to your speaker group.
  • Try playing music from another service. There may be an outage with the service you're using.
  • Check whether Do Not Disturb is on for the devices you want.
  • Delete your speaker group, then make a new speaker group.
