What Is AutoRip?

A service that gives customers MP3 versions of eligible physical albums (including CD, vinyl, and other formats) purchased from Amazon since 1998.

Identifying Eligible AutoRip Albums

To find AutoRip eligible albums for purchase:

On Desktop: Search for the AutoRip logo on the product detail page, below the formats and editions section.
On Mobile and desktop browsers: You can find eligible AutoRip albums by visiting AutoRip.
On the Amazon Mobile shopping app: Search for "AutoRip" or "AutoRip music" in the search bar. You can also ask Rufus, the Amazon Shopping app AI assistant, to find AutoRip eligible albums.

Important:

AutoRip is only available on albums sold and shipped by Amazon.
AutoRip isn’t available for albums marked as gifts during checkout or included in gift orders.

When you purchase an eligible album that's shipped and sold by Amazon:

If you pre-order an album, you receive the music in your Library on the album's release date.
For already released albums, the MP3 version automatically adds to your music library within 48 hours of your order shipping.

Tip: You can find the MP3 album in the Purchased section of your Amazon Music app. For more information, go to How Do I Find My Purchased Music in My Amazon Music App?

If you have issues finding your AutoRip MP3s:

Make sure that the album was AutoRip eligible and sold and shipped by Amazon.
Important: AutoRip doesn't apply to the same products sold by other sellers. For more information, go to: AutoRip Terms & Conditions.
Make sure to check the Purchased section of your Amazon Music app.
Make sure it has been at least 48 hours after the physical album has shipped.
If you purchased the album for someone else, make sure that the eligible album wasn't marked as a gift or part of a gift order.
Note: For albums purchased for someone else, only you as the purchaser get the AutoRip MP3 in your Library. The recipient doesn’t receive the MP3 album.
