Music or Media Isn't Playing with Echo Buds

Music playback doesn't work on your Echo Buds.

  • Make sure that your Echo Buds are paired to your phone or another device via Bluetooth.
  • Make sure that your Echo Buds are connected to the Alexa app. The app home screen has an Echo Buds card when connected.
  • Check your phone's volume and increase it as needed.
  • Place your Echo Buds in the case and close the lid for 30 seconds. Take them out and retry.
  • Make sure that your phone is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data connection.
  • Make sure there's sufficient battery for both ear buds. To make sure there's sufficient battery, check the light on the case or check in the Alexa app.
  • Echo Buds automatically start playback when placed in the ear. Check that the ear buds are securely placed in your ear. You can hear a chime when the ear buds are correctly placed.
