What Is Equipment Control with Fire TV?
Equipment control lets you control several functions of compatible devices like TVs, A/V receivers, and soundbars.
To control your connected equipment after setup:
Use Your Compatible Fire TV Remote
Pair a Fire TV remote that has volume and power buttons and an Alexa Voice button to your Fire TV. You can use the buttons on your remote to do things like turn your devices on or off or change the volume. You can also press the Alexa Voice button on your remote and use voice commands. Say things like, "Turn up the volume," or "Turn off the TV."
Use Fire TV Blaster
Link Fire TV Blaster with a compatible Alexa and Fire TV device to control your equipment with your Alexa device. After you link all three devices, you can ask Alexa to do things like turn your devices on, off, or change the volume.
Use Your Fire TV Cube
Use the built-in microphone in Fire TV Cube to ask Alexa to do things like turn your devices on or off or change the volume. You can also link a compatible Alexa device with your Fire TV Cube and use your Alexa device to control your equipment.
