How to Report a Lost or Stolen Amazon Device
Report a lost or stolen Amazon device through Manage Your Content and Devices and protect your account.
To report your lost or stolen Amazon device, prevent unauthorized access, and protect your information, take these steps:
- Visit the Devices tab under Manage Your Content and Devices.
- Select your device.
- Select Report Lost / Stolen.
- To secure your Amazon account, take these additional steps:
- Update Payment Settings: If concerned about unauthorized purchases, visit How to Update Your Amazon Payment Method.
- Monitor Account Activity: Regularly check your account for any suspicious activity.
Found Your Lost Device?
When you find a previously lost device:
- Visit the Devices tab under Manage Your Content and Devices.
- Select Load Lost / Stolen Devices.
- Select your device
- Mark as Found
- On the device you've found, complete re-registration (Find registration help for your Amazon device by visiting Add or Register Amazon Device to Your Account
Notes:
- Marking your device as lost/stolen doesn’t affect your purchased content. Your content is still linked to your Amazon account and is available at Manage Your Content and Devices
- If you prefer not to report your lost or stolen device, you can deregister the device yourself. For details, visit Deregister Your Device
